Cabaret's sire, Cordeur's breeding career was cut short by his untimely death in 1995. In 1986 he was approved in Holstein with an outstanding 100 day test. he then stood in Baden Wurtemburg until 1993 when he was then stationed in Oldenburg until his death. he was a successful showjumper up to Intermediate level. Cordeur also attained a reputation as a dressage sire. He sired two licensed sons, Cabaret and Commandant, both highly successful dressage stallions. Cabaret's dam, St Pr Magic Lady was promoted to the FN studbook through her progeny. AS well as Cabaret she gave birth to Win It the 1987 Riding Horse Champion of Southern Germany and Mr magic who successfully competed in the Bundeschampionate as well as winning at advanced level dressage by age 7. Cabaret has two full brothers. Champion, the top priced lot of the Hubertushof auction selling for 110.000 DM and placed up to Grand Prix internationally under the Dutch dressage silver medallist Ellen Bontje. Cassis was the vice champion of the Four Year Old State Riding Horse Championships in 1998.

Cabaret absolved a successful 100 day test in Neustadt Dosse with a score of 131 points in the rideability portion. In 1997 he won the Riding Horse Championships of Southern Germany and placed third at the Bundeschampionships. In 1998 he was successfully wining at Elementary level dressage and was a highly placed finalist at the Bundeschampionships again.

Cabaret's foals are of big type, with generous gaits and mechanics of movement. Most of his foals have received the renowned premium rating by various breed societies. In 1998 he sired the vice champion foal at the Baden Wurtemburg state foal show in Offenburg. In 1999 his approved son Carpe Diem was vice champion of the conformation class at the state championships in Tubingen. In 2000 at Tubingen he presented 3 of the best 7 stallions. In 2000 he also sired two elite auction horses in Marbach, both of which were purchased by renowned dressage stables.
